Military training and anti-drone solutions provider Zen Technologies Ltd on Tuesday, October 1, said it has secured an annual maintenance order from the defence ministry.

In a stock exchange filing, the company said it has signed an annual maintenance contract (AMC) worth ₹46 crore, including GST, with the ministry of defence. The contract covers the maintenance of simulators developed by Zen for a five-year period, the company informed the bourses.

This partnership underscores the ministry’s confidence in Zen Tech’s defence solutions and its ability to meet the operational needs of the country’s armed forces, the company said in a release.

The AMC strengthens Zen’s ongoing relationship with the defence ministry, solidifying its position as a leader in the defence simulation space, it said. The contract ensures continued maintenance and support for critical defence assets, helping maintain high levels of operational readiness, as per the stock exchange filing.

Last week, Zen Technologies Ltd, in collaboration with its subsidiary AI Turing Technologies, announced the launch of four cutting-edge remote-controlled weapon and surveillance systems, designed to transform defence capabilities.

These include the RCWS – 7.62 x 51 MMG (Parashu), optimized for vehicles and ships with thermal imaging and anti-drone features; the tank-mounted RCWS – 12.7 x 108 HMG (Fanish), designed for T-72 and T-90 tanks with a thermal targeting system; the naval RCWS – 12.7 x 99 HMG (Sharur), ideal for engaging surface and aerial threats up to 2 km; and the Durgam artillery rugged camera, providing real-time surveillance in extreme environments. These systems are tailored to improve operational efficiency across land, sea, and high-risk zones.

Zen Technologies manufactures advanced military training simulators, live range equipment, driving simulators, and anti-drone systems. The company’s R&D facility in Hyderabad, recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, has enabled the company to file more than 155 patents, with over 75 patents granted.

Shares of Zen Technologies gained up to 0.83% in early trade to hit an intraday high of ₹1,730 apiece on the BSE. However, the stock pared some of early gains to trade 0.25% higher at ₹1,720 apiece on the BSE at 9:45 am.
