Top gainers and losers this week: IT stocks lead Nifty’s losses – CNBC TV18

The Indian stock market fell for the second consecutive week, dropping over 3% in the past two weeks. Both Sensex and Nifty fell by 1% each, while the Nifty Bank dropped 0.4%. The Midcap Index remained largely unchanged. Additionally, three of the top five Nifty losers this week were IT stocks. Here’s a look at the top gainers and losers in the Nifty index this week:

GAINERS: Hindalco | Hindalco Industries Ltd., the Aditya Birla Group company, emerged as the top Nifty gainer this week, with its shares rising by 7.41%. On Friday, the stock ended 2.39% higher at ₹617.

NTPC | NTPC, the state-run power giant, saw its shares rise by 5.81% this week. On Friday, the stock ended 0.15% higher, closing at ₹326.
