SpiceJet | The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said the low-cost airline will be under enhanced surveillance with immediate effect amid the ongoing issues with flight cancellations and mounting financial pressure. As part of the enhanced surveillance, there will be an increase in both spot checks and nighttime inspections of its operations.

LIC | State-owned company said it has received a demand order from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Mumbai, totalling ₹605.59 crore for the financial year 2019-20. This order encompasses goods and service tax (GST) of ₹294.43 crore, interest amounting to ₹281.71 crore, and a penalty of ₹29.45 crore.

Infosys | Technology bellwether announced the expansion of its collaboration with Nvidia for AI-powered, customer-centric solutions to drive innovation and operational excellence for telcos. Infosys Topaz also uses NVIDIA Riva, for building real-time conversational AI pipelines that allow for real-time transcription and translations for call center agents.

Jai Corp | The company announced that it will buy back equity shares worth up to ₹118 crore. The company intends to repurchase up to 29.44 lakh fully paid-up equity shares, which carry a face value of ₹1 each through this process.

NLC India | State-owned company said its board of directors, has approved two joint ventures with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam. The first JV agreement aims to establish a lignite-based thermal power station in Rajasthan, alongside developing the necessary mines to meet the fuel requirements for this power station.

Lemon Tree Hotels | The Hospitality firm said it has signed a licence agreement for a new property in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The upcoming hotel will be managed by Carnation Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels, and is slated to open in the financial year 2026.

ITI | State-owned company said it has bagged its first electronic voting machine order. After a demo in Kolkata, it got an order from the State Election Commission of West Bengal to supply of 500 EVM sets. The product will be manufactured at ITI’s factories complying with the technical specifications of the Election Commission.

RVNL | The company said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Patel Engineering Ltd to jointly pursue hydro and infrastructure projects both domestically and internationally. The agreement will allow both parties to explore collaborative opportunities in various capacities.

NTPC | State-owned company said it has commissioned its 160 MW capacity of the 320 MW Bhainsara solar project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. With this, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group will go up to 76,294 MW, the company said in a regulatory filing.
