Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd posted a sharp year-on-year (YoY) increase in stainless steel and aluminium foil sales for February 2025, driven by strong demand and improved realisations.

However, the company noted that month-on-month (MoM) volumes declined across key segments due to February being a shorter trading month.

Stainless steel sales surged 110% YoY to 8,552 metric ton (MT), while realisations improved 10% YoY to ₹1.29 lakh per MT. However, on an MoM basis, sales declined 5%, despite a 3% increase in realisations.

A similar trend was observed in aluminium foil, where sales climbed 23% YoY to 1,686 MT, while realisations rose 13% YoY to ₹3.52 lakh per MT. Compared to January, aluminium foil sales fell 14% MoM, though realisations edged up 3%.
