The market has seen a very sharp recovery from the lows of the day during the Nifty 50’s weekly options expiry session. The index, which was stuck in the 24,800 – 25,150 range, has suddenly surged past the 25,250 mark within minutes and has now crossed record high levels.

The recovery has mainly been led by the Nifty Bank, which has been an underperformer for most parts of this week. That index too has now surged past the 51,500 mark, which has been a resistance over the last few trading sessions. Let us now take a look at which stocks are leading the recovery on the Nifty 50.

Telecom Service provider Bharti Airtel is leading the recovery on the Nifty and is among the top gainers on the index as well. The stock is contributing 41.4 points currently to the index upside.

India’s largest private lender HDFC Bank is also among the top contributors to the index upside. The lender is contributing 40 points to the Nifty gains.

Reliance Industries, the other index heavyweight has seen the sharpest recovery among the index constituents. The sharp recovery has also contributed to the swift moves seen on the Nifty. Reliance is also contributing 33 points to the Nifty gains.

Auto stocks like Mahindra & Mahindra too are contributing to the index recovery. The stock has recovered 3.5% from the lows of the day and is now contributing 15 points to the upside.

Shares of state-run NTPC, which have recovered over 3.5% from the lows of the day. The stock is also contributing 15 points to the index upside.
