The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee is set to announce its decision on the repo rate cuts today. This will be RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra’s first MPC meeting today. The RBI had announced the last rate cuts in May 2020 when the former governor announced 40 basis point cuts to 4% to support the economy during Covid-19 pandemic.
