Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhagalpur, Bihar, on February 24 to release the 19th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme. The government will transfer over ₹1,400 crore to the bank accounts of more than 72 lakh farmers in Rajasthan.

A state-level event will be held at the State Institute of Agriculture Management, Durgapura, Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will attend as the chief guest.

What is PM-KISAN?

PM-KISAN is a central scheme that provides ₹6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers. The amount is paid in three equal instalments of ₹2,000. The government funds the entire scheme.

Who is eligible?

Farmers with cultivable land in their names can apply. However, certain categories are excluded:

  • Institutional landowners.
  • Government employees (except Class IV and multi-tasking staff).
  • Professionals such as doctors, engineers, and chartered accountants.
  • Income tax payers from the last assessment year.

How to check or update PM-KISAN details?

Farmers should verify their details to avoid payment delays:

  • Visit pmkisan.gov.in.
  • Check beneficiary status using Aadhaar, bank account, or mobile number.
  • Update KYC details if required.

How to apply for PM-KISAN?

Eligible farmers can apply online:

  • Go to pmkisan.gov.in and click “New Farmer Registration.”
  • Enter Aadhaar and other required details.
  • Save and print the application.
  • To check the instalment status, click “Beneficiary Status,” enter Aadhaar or bank account details, and select “Get Data.”
