Paytm has launched the “Receive Money QR Widget” for android users, a feature that enables influencers, shopkeepers, freelancers, and small businesses to collect payments directly from their smartphone home screens.

This aims to make payment collection faster and more seamless, the company said in a statement.

Instant payment collection: Users can display their Paytm QR code on their home screen and receive payments without opening the Paytm app.

Real-time notifications: A distinct coin-drop sound notifies users of payments received, ensuring instant confirmation.

Improved payment process: The widget simplifies the process for businesses and individuals alike, offering enhanced transparency.

How to use the ‘Receive Money QR Widget’ on android:

• Open the Paytm App on your phone.
• Tap on your profile icon in the top left corner to access the menu.
• Select “Add QR to Homescreen” below your QR code.
• Confirm to add the QR widget to your phone’s home screen.
• Once added, the QR widget will appear on your home screen.
• You can now show the widget to customers to receive payments instantly, without needing to open the app.
• Whenever a payment is received, a coin-drop notification sound will alert you.

Paytm has also extended its global reach, supporting UPI payments in countries like the UAE, Singapore, and Mauritius. With features like UPI Lite for small transactions and RuPay Credit Card linking on UPI, Paytm aims to further enhance user convenience in mobile payments.
