2. India is sending nearly 15 tonnes of relief material via the C130J aircraft of the Indian Air Force from the Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad. On X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his concern over the situation in Myanmar and Thailand, praying for the “safety and well-being of everyone.” He added that India remains ready to offer help and all possible assistance, and he has asked authorities to remain on standby for the same. US President Donald Trump on Friday assured the US would assist Myanmar and called the situation ‘terrible. ’ Speaking to mediapersons in the Oval Office about the quake, Trump said he quake was a ‘real bad one,’ adding that the US will be helping out Myanmar and has already spoken with the country. 5. Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the country’s EMERCOM had dispatched two special aircraft carrying rescue personnel to the quake-hit nation to assist in recovery efforts.
