Motilal Oswal AMC surpasses ₹1 lakh crore in AUM – CNBC TV18

Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company (MOAMC) has announced that its assets under management (AUM) have crossed ₹1 lakh crore as of August 26, 2024.

Over the past 10 years, from April 2014 to August 2024, MOAMC’s AUM has expanded 50 times.

The company said it has seen substantial growth in its customer base, which now stands at approximately 32 lakh across more than 200 locations in India.

Currently, MOAMC manages around 46 lakh active folios across its range of products.

The AUM breakdown shows that active and passive mutual funds contribute ₹71.8K crore (71.7%) of the total, followed by portfolio management services (PMS) with ₹14.5K crore (14.5%), and alternative investment funds (AIF) with ₹13.7K crore (13.7%).

The active mutual fund AUM is ₹47.1K crore, while the passive mutual fund AUM stands at ₹27.8K crore.

MOAMC holds a significant position in the market with a 7% share of all Category III AIF commitments and a 6.5% share of all discretionary PMS customers in the industry.
