Mahindra & Mahindra reported its October auto sales on Friday, November 1.

The automaker reported total sale of 96,648 units, 20% more than the previous year’s 80,679 units.

A CNBC-TV18 poll had estimated the auto sales of 88,000 units in October.

The M&M tractor sales were pegged at 65,453 units, which were 30% more than the 50,460 units sold in October last year. The Street had estimated total tractor sale of 50,500 units.

On another note, sources told CNBC-TV18 on Thursday, October 31, that M&M is set to launch two new electric vehicle models on November 26, 2024.

Sources indicate that this launch will mark the introduction of the company’s first ground-up electric vehicle as the company aims to strengthen its position in the competitive EV market.

Among the new models will be a luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV) and another SUV specifically designed for off-road use. The launch is expected to take place in Chennai and is anticipated to be a world premiere for Mahindra Group’s electric SUV line.
