The company’s revenue from operations jumped 57.4% to ₹301.4 crore against ₹191.5 crore in the year-ago quarter.
At the operating level, EBITDA was at ₹193.2 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal over ₹19.7 crore loss in Q3 FY24. The EBITDA margin stood at 64% in the reporting quarter. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.

Multi Commodity Exchange recorded growth in its options segment during Q3 FY24-25, with the Average Daily Turnover (ADT) rising to ₹2,07,090 crore compared to ₹1,93,309 crore in Q2 FY24-25. The average premium turnover also increased to ₹3,613 crore from ₹3,264 crore in the previous quarter.
Futures trading also saw a notable rise, with ADT climbing to ₹28,410 crore during Q3 FY24-25, up from ₹26,941 crore in Q2 FY24-25. For the nine months ending December 31, 2024, the combined ADT of futures and options surged by 106% year-on-year to ₹2,09,233 crore. Total traded clients in futures and options grew by 49%, reaching approximately 11 lakh clients during FY24-25.
The ADT of commodity futures alone increased by 33%, reaching ₹27,099 crore, compared to ₹20,321 crore during the same period in FY23-24. Additionally, the notional ADT of options witnessed a remarkable 124% growth, jumping to ₹1,82,134 crore from ₹81,186 crore in the corresponding period of FY23-24.

In terms of physical deliveries during the nine-month period, MCX facilitated the delivery of 5.6 MT of gold (all variants), 489 MT of silver (all variants), and 49,986 MT of base metals through its exchange mechanism.
The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd ended at ₹6,017.35, down by ₹15.40, or 0.26%, on the BSE.
