Madhu Kela, market veteran and founder of MK Ventures, is excited about the energy transition theme, calling it a transformative trend that will drive growth over the next 10-20 years.

This is because energy transition is now commercially viable and no longer dependent on subsidies, with electric vehicles (EVs) playing a central role in this shift.

Kela also sees strong potential in the semiconductor sector, describing it as a medium- to long-term opportunity with significant room for growth.

The liquor industry is another area he’s keen on, driven by its untapped possibilities.
“India’s liquor industry profit is just $500 million, while a single company in China earns $15 billion annually. That shows the massive growth opportunity in this business,” Kela said

Overall, he finds the market setup constructive and says, “I would look to buy every dip.”

Once the government expenditure picks up, the money will start to trickle down and corporate earnings will pick up pace over the next two quarters.

However, the biggest positive for India is the new Trump administration. “I think this will go down very positively for India. While there will be much higher tariffs across the world, I don’t expect any massive tariff because India is a natural ally to the US,” he said.
