This acquisition adds 23 offline stores to Licious’ existing network, expanding its physical footprint to 26 locations.
My Chicken and More, established in 2007, reported annual revenues of approximately ₹110 crore and processes between 1.6 million to 1.8 million orders each year. The company has gained a reputation in Bengaluru for quality and hygiene, drawing an average monthly footfall of 10,000 to 12,000 customers at some outlets.
Licious co-founders Vivek Gupta and Abhay Hanjura emphasised the strategic importance of this acquisition in enhancing their omni-channel presence. “The integration of My Chicken and More will enable us to scale our offline operations in South India while maintaining the quality and transparency our brand stands for,” they stated.
S. Mahesha, founder of My Chicken and More, will join Licious to help manage the newly acquired business. He noted the alignment of visions between the two companies in providing high-quality meat products.
The acquisition marks a significant step in Licious’s plan to open 500 offline points-of-sale nationwide in the coming years. Currently, Licious operates from five processing centers and delivers to 20 cities, serving around 1.2 million consumers monthly through its app.
