Indian Premier League teams will be allowed to retain five players from their 2024 squad ahead of the 2025 IPL mega auction. The decision comes after the IPL Governing Council meeting held in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Additionally, the IPL teams will have one Right To Match card on the day of the auction.
