India’s leading position stems from its structural growth story and the potential for earnings stabilisation in the near future.
For investors looking at India, stabilisation of earnings estimates for 2025 remains the primary focus, he said in an interview with CNBC TV-18.

Yap also pointed to external factors that could influence the market’s trajectory.
“Things like the US dollar, which has been very strong, if that comes off, could also help. The oil price is positive.”
While the execution of oil-related strategies remains complex, Yap emphasised that if US President Donald Trump manages to lower oil prices, it could smooth out inflationary pressures and stabilise markets.

Regarding other regional developments, Yap mentioned the Bank of Japan’s (BoJ) anticipated approach to monetary policy.
The expectation is that they will be cautious after hiking the rates and watch the data after that, he noted.
