IEX reports record traded electricity volume for Q4 and FY25 but stock declines – CNBC TV18

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) on Friday, April 4, said it achieved its highest-ever traded electricity volume in the March quarter and the financial year 2025.

IEX’s traded electricity volume for March 2025 gained 29% to 11,215 MU from the previous year. Its average market-clearing price for March in day day-ahead market (DAM) was at ₹4.47 per unit due to increased supply.

For the fourth quarter, the traded electricity volume gained 18% to 31,747 MU from the previous year.

The market-clearing price in DAM was down 9% at ₹4.43 per unit from the previous year.

The Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) traded volume in March 2025 increased by 18% on a year-on-year basis.

For the entire financial year, the traded electricity volume was up 19% at 121 BU. The market-clearing price in DAM was down 15% at ₹4.47 per unit.

IEX shares were down 1.2% at ₹179.87 per share at 9.40 am on Friday, April 4. The stock gained 17.69% in the past month but has declined 13.45% in the last six months.
