A user identifying themselves as Adam Lanza Mass Shooter claimed to have placed bombs on these flights, prompting immediate action from authorities.
The affected IndiGo flights included routes from Goa to Vadodara, Agartala to Guwahati, and Kolkata to Ahmedabad, among others. The airline reassured passengers that they are adhering to strict safety protocols and are collaborating closely with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of all customers and crew members.
“The safety and security of our customers and crew remain our highest priority. We regret any inconvenience caused to our customers and appreciate their understanding during this time,” the airline stated.
In a related incident, an ammunition cartridge was recovered from an Air India flight (AI916) that had arrived in Delhi from Dubai on October 27. The cartridge was found in a seat pocket after all passengers had safely deboarded, raising further security concerns.

An Air India spokesperson confirmed the discovery, stating, “One ammunition cartridge was found in the pocket of a seat of our flight AI916 after it had landed from Dubai at Delhi.”
In light of the threats, flight 6E 162 operating from Goa to Kolkata was redirected to Hyderabad, and flight 6E 458 from Delhi to Jharsuguda was rerouted to Lucknow. Flight 6E 77 from Bengaluru to Jeddah was also redirected to Mumbai. In each case, all passengers were safely disembarked, and mandated checks are currently underway.
Authorities are investigating the surge in hoax threats, which has raised alarm among airlines and passengers alike.
On October 30, a false claim circulated about a bomb on an Air India flight from Delhi to Mumbai via Indore, prompting Indore police to file a case against an unidentified individual linked to the threat.
