In response, the stock surged as much as 8% in Friday’s trading session to reclaim the mark of ₹500.
DreamFolks, as a company, is already present at the country’s airports and railway stations and this will be an expansion beyond their regular business.
Members of DreamFolks can now have specially designed meals at popular restaurants on more than 60 highway routes from major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata, the company said in an exchange filing.
“As we continue to identify opportunities to enhance the travel experience across multiple touchpoints, expanding our offerings to highways is a natural progression. This new service reflects our vision of creating seamless and elevated travel experiences at every mode of the journey,” Liberatha Kallat, the Founder and MD of DreamFolks was quoted as saying.
DreamFolks currently manages the lounge and other benefits for most of the country’s top banks and has a market share of over 90% in the domestic lounge access market for India-issued debit and credit programs.
The company currently has a global footprint extending to over 3,000 touchpoints and over 100 countries globally.
Shares of DreamFolks services are currently trading 7.8% higher on Friday at ₹509. Despite this surge, shares have been underperformers, still down 8% so far in 2024 and down 13% from their recent peak of ₹582.
