The Maharashtra government has unveiled the Diwali Bonus 2024 as part of the Ladki Bahin Yojana. This initiative aims to support women across the state by providing direct financial assistance.

According to the most recent notification, officials will transfer the fourth and fifth instalment payments of ₹3,000 to the bank accounts of selected women as part of the Ladki Bahin Yojana Diwali Bonus 2024 programme.

Key details of the Diwali bonus

Under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, women in Maharashtra receive financial aid from the government.
As part of the Diwali celebrations, the state government plans to disburse the October and November instalments early.

The Diwali Bonus is designed to empower women financially, allowing them to shop and celebrate without financial worries.

The program focuses on uplifting women’s status in society by providing consistent support.

Eligibility criteria for the Diwali bonus

To qualify for the Ladki Bahin Diwali Bonus, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Residency: Women must be residents of Maharashtra.
• Age: Applicants should be between 21 and 65 years old.
• Marital status: All women, including married, unmarried, abandoned, divorced, and destitute, are eligible.
• Bank account: Applicants must possess a bank account in their name at any bank.
• Income limit: Family income should not exceed ₹2 lakh per annum.
