Divi’s Laboratories on Saturday, August 3, reported its quarterly earnings. It reported a net profit of ₹430 crore, 21% more than last year’s ₹356 crore. However, it was below CNBC-TV18 poll’s ₹486.6 crore.
The company’s revenue of ₹2,118 crore for the first quarter was 19% more than last year’s ₹1,778 crore. It was however, lower than Street estimates of ₹2,191 crore.
Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) were ₹622 crore for the first quarter, which were 23% more than the previous fiscal’s ₹504 crore. CNBC-TV18 poll had estimated the EBITDA to come in at ₹659 crore.
The company reported a margin of 29.4%. Last year, its margin came in at 28.3%, while a CNBC-TV18 poll had estimated a 30.1% margin.
