Delhi Election 2025 Live: Delhi Police files FIR against CM Atishi for violation of the Model Code of Conduct over the use of a government vehicle for political purposes. The FIR has been registered under BNS 223 (a).
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal’s political rivalry intensified on Monday (January 13), as both leaders exchanged sharp remarks ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February 5.
At a campaign rally in Seelampur, Gandhi launched a blistering attack on Kejriwal, accusing him of adopting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “strategy of propaganda and false promises.”
He criticised the AAP government for failing to address key issues such as pollution, corruption, and inflation in the national capital. Gandhi also claimed that both Modi and Kejriwal remain silent on the issue of caste census, accusing them of denying backward communities, Dalits, tribals, and minorities their rightful share.
Responding to Gandhi’s remarks, Kejriwal took to X (formerly Twitter) and stated, “His fight is to save Congress, my fight is to save the country.” Speaking at a press interaction, the former Delhi Chief Minister accused Gandhi of personally attacking him but refrained from retaliating in kind.
