Deepak Nitrite reported a double-digit rise in revenue but a decline in net profit and EBITDA in its second-quarter financial results on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
The company’s net profit dropped by 5.3% year-on-year to ₹194.2 crore, compared to ₹205 crore in the same period last year.
Its revenue saw a robust increase of 14.3%, reaching ₹2,032 crore, up from ₹1,778 crore year-on-year.
On the operational front, Deepak Nitrite’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) decreased by 1.5% to ₹297.6 crore, down from ₹302 crore year-on-year. The margin contracted to 14.7%, compared to 17% in the previous year.
Shares of Deepak Nitrite closed 3.08% lower at ₹2,493.60 on the National Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
