CRED, a popular payments platform for affluent users, has rolled out new features aimed at improving the speed and security of online transactions. These updates include PIN-less payments, expanded rewards across partner merchants, and secure card usage with device tokenisation.

CRED has launched a wallet feature that allows users to make payments without the need for PINs or OTPs.

By preloading the wallet, members can make instant payments on platforms like Swiggy, Urban Company, and BookMyShow.

This faster checkout process is also available for booking travel experiences and paying utility bills.

Users can access the wallet after completing a simple KYC verification.

Additionally, CRED has extended its rewards program to allow users to earn vouchers and cashback across select partner merchants, regardless of the payment method.

Initially, Swiggy and ixigo are offering these rewards, with more merchants expected to join soon.

In partnership with Visa, CRED has introduced device tokenisation, enabling users to save and use their card details securely across multiple merchants.

This feature eliminates the need to repeatedly enter card information, providing a faster and more secure checkout experience.

By linking tokenised card details directly to users’ devices, CRED ensures enhanced security for those who frequently shop online, especially on smaller or niche platforms.

These features will roll out in phases over October.
