Aavas Financiers Ltd has crossed the ₹20,000 crore mark in Assets Under Management (AUM), reaffirming its position in the affordable housing finance segment. The company, which focuses on middle-income customers in unserved and underserved markets, disclosed the milestone in a stock exchange filing on Friday.

The Jaipur-based housing finance company has disbursed ₹33,500 crore in loans to over 3.62 lakh customers over the past decade. With a network of 373 branches across 14 states, nearly 80% of its centres are located in Tier 2 to Tier 5 cities, aligning with its goal of expanding financial inclusion.

Aavas Financiers has also been strengthening its digital reach through partnerships with CSC, Emitra, and Ecosystem Channel Partners, aiming to serve new-to-credit customers in smaller towns.

“The achievement of ₹20,000 crore AUM represents the dreams fulfilled, homes built, and lives transformed. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our stakeholders, customers, partners, and the entire Aavas team,” said Managing Director and CEO Sachinder Bhinder in a press release.

With India’s housing sector benefiting from a growing population, rising disposable incomes, and expanding infrastructure, demand for affordable housing loans is expected to rise.

The Reserve Bank of India estimates a housing shortage of 100 million homes, with 95% of the demand coming from lower-income and economically weaker sections, particularly in smaller cities.

At 2:15 pm on Friday, shares of Aavas Financiers were trading flat at ₹1,978 apiece, down 0.38%, on the BSE.
