More than 150 people were injured in a fireworks accident at a temple festival near Neeleswaram, Kasargod in Kerala in the late hours of Monday.
Of them, around eight people have suffered serious injuries. The injured persons have been taken to various hospitals in Kasargod, Mangaluru and Kannur, news agency PTI quoted the police.

They added that the accident likely occured when the fireworks storage facility near Veerakavu Temple caught fire. The incident occurred around midnight.

Top district administration officials, including the district police chief and the collector have reached the location, PTI reported.
