City gas distributor Mahanagar Gas Ltd on Tuesday (January 28) reported a 28.9% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹225.4 crore for the third quarter that ended on December 31, 2024, against ₹317.18 crore in the year-ago quarter. The CNBC-TV18 poll had predicted a profit of ₹185 crore for the quarter under review.

The board of directors has considered and approved an interim dividend of ₹12 per equity share having a face value of ₹10 each for the financial year 2024-25.
The board has fixed Monday, February 03, 2025, as the record date for determining the entitlement of shareholders to the interim dividend, which will be paid within 30 days from the date of its declaration.
The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Mahanagar Gas Ltd ended at ₹1,277.80, up by ₹19.05, or 1.51%, on the BSE.
