Coal India announces second interim dividend of ₹5.60; check record date – CNBC TV18

The Board of Coal India Ltd., India’s largest mining company, has declared a second interim dividend of 5.60 per equity share on the face value of 10 for the financial year 2024-25 .

Record date for the purpose of declaration of second interim dividend on equity shares same has been fixed as Friday, January 31, 2025. The payment of the second interim dividend for FY 2024-25 will be made by February 26, 2025.

Earlier, Coal India had paid an interim dividend of 15.75 and a final dividend of 5 in this fiscal.

Besides, the company has also announced its results for the December quarter (Q3FY25).

The state-run miner’s net profit stood at ₹8,491.2 crore, which was higher than CNBC-TV18’s poll of ₹7,799 crore. However, on a year-on-year basis, the company’s net profit fell by 17.5% as against ₹10,291.7 crore in the same period a year ago.

The topline came in at ₹35,779.8 crore, which is also higher than CNBC-TV18 poll of ₹35,558 crore.

CIL’s Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹12,317.2 crore, higher than CNBC-TV18’s poll of ₹10,098 crore.

Shares of Coal India Ltd. settled 2.36% lower on Monday at 374. The stock is down 3% so far in 2025.
